Applications are accepted year-round on a rolling deadline, with up to 50 students enrolled each year. The Stanford Quantitative Finance Program is comprised of 5 courses and can be completed within 9 months with part-time study. Applicants should possess:
• A valid degree from an accredited institution, comparable to a bachelor's degree.
• Recommended three years of post-university work experience. The program also admits fresh undergraduate students with strong academic background.
• A solid quantitative background including linear algebra, numerical analysis, statistics and probability.
• Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills (in English),
A completed application packet includes: filled application form, statement of purpose, transcripts, official GMAT/GRE scores, (if taken), and a resume. Additional information may be submitted within the supplementary information section of the application
The program fee covers tuition, books, cases and reading materials, administrative fees, assessment, graduation fee, refreshments. Airfare and hotel accommodation for students residing outside of Hong Kong are not included.
The total program fee for the 2015 intake is HKD169,000. Participants are normally billed in one lump-sum payment.
The foundation course is delivered online, and the remaining 5 courses are delivered through traditional face-to-face lectures in Hong Kong. This program's part-time schedule will take place over 3 weekday evenings and two weekends every other month, to accommodate students' busy career and work schedules. Due to this intensive delivery mode students are able to gain a real sense of achievement and progress. In addition to lectures the faculty use computer-based simulations and problem solving activities to further challenge students. All classes take place at the prestigious Admiralty Conference Centre.
Students are expected to attend greater than 70% of all lessons.
We recognize that there are times when circumstances may cause a student to miss class. If these absences are due to unplanned hospitalization, extended illness, or a personal or family emergency that directly affects the student or an immediate family member, the absence would be considered excused. Whenever students are unable to attend class, they are required to notify a program administrator and then must inform the instructors. If the circumstances make advance notice impossible, an e-mail as soon as possible after the missed class is the next best alternative. The student must make arrangements with a classmate to get notes and copies of class handouts, and to complete all missed work. Students can also opt to defer the particular module to the next cycle.
Each professor determines how he or she will administer exams. Typically, most assignments and exams can be done at home as take-home assessments. Students are expected to take all examinations at the scheduled time and submit all take-home exams on the assigned due date. If a student fails to submit the coursework or exams by deadline without notifying the instructor or program administrator, he or she may not be able to receive official Records of Completion from Stanford.
The 5-course program can be completed within 9 months. We allow students to take up to 3 years to complete the 5 required courses.
Successful completion of the 5 courses leads to the award of a Graduate Certificate in Quantitative Finance Program from Stanford University. This is both an academic and professional credential which enables graduates to build the knowledge and develop the skills needed for career advancement today.

The University of Iowa MBA program in Hong Kong, another program administered by CEG, grants 3 courses of exemptions to graduates of the program.
We require all students to possess a bachelor's degree, plus at least 10 years of experience working on the middle to senior management level. In evaluating applicants, we look at the entire application, including work experience, recommendations, academic transcripts, etc. We believe that the best indicator of future career success is a person's career progression. Most of our applicants have a considerable number of years of work experience, so career progress and achievements are key competitive differentiators.
Executive education program usually refers to programs and courses targeted at professionals working in managerial and executive roles, or those who aspire to. Most executive programs offered by business schools last between two and six days, but some can take over a year to complete part-time.
Content-wise, executive education focuses on improving the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective leader. Most executive programs - unlike management degrees like an MBA, MSc, or Master in Management - focus on sharpening specific aspects of an executive's toolkit, such as accounting, leadership, finance, strategy, or negotiation. Some executive programs - like modular general management or Executive MBA programs - do provide more broad training for current and future managers and executives.
The Stanford Senior Executive Leadership Program seeks to find potential executives who already have significant management experience at the mid- and upper-level management levels. For other master's degree programs, students can come from different backgrounds and levels of experience, much of which may not be at the management level.
The teaching style of typical master's programs tends to be very traditional and theory-oriented, lacking practical skills to train up leaders. Our program employs a variety of progressive teaching techniques in the classroom and through an online delivery system that expands beyond traditional lecture and case method studies. The Stanford faculty teaching the program are highly experienced and distinguished in their respective fields and fellow participants are special and diverse in a variety of ways. Our demanding curriculum and teaching methods require active participation and interactive engagement during the class. However unlike other master's degree programs which require heavy examinations, traditional examination are not utilized in our program.

Normally there is no assignment before and after the classes.
In theory, students can complete the program in a maximum period of 5 years. To avoid unexpected disruption we strongly advise all students to complete the program in 2 years.
Please inform the local operator as soon as you anticipate missing any part of the class sessions. A decision will be made on a case-by-case basis as to how you can make up the material you missed. Alternatively, if you need to miss most of the class sessions we strongly advise that you defer the entire module and make it up in the next cycle.

The Stanford Senior Executive Leadership Program is a practical and academically challenging program, ideal for senior-level global leaders who are at a critical inflection point in their careers. It's specifically designed for seasoned executives with at least 12 to 15 years of management experience and strategic responsibilities at the company- or country-wide level. The program is also suitable for executives who have recently been promoted to a position of significant managerial responsibility or are clearly on track for such a role.
Students in our program are an accomplished group of senior managers across a very diverse set of geographies, industries, and job functions, with a significant percentage of people drawn from expatriates working in Hong Kong and China. Our typical class profile has students, who on average, have 12 to 15 years of work experience and who are in their late 30s or 40s. Men make up approximately 80 percent of the class. Along with the revamp in our program curriculum, students will be able to learn key skills and frameworks to execute on innovation—finance, marketing, design thinking, strategy, value chain, leadership, team dynamics, and culture. They will also identify and overcome the challenges established companies face when trying to innovate.
We have not conducted any official survey to track students' salary and do not know the impact of the program on their salary and compensation. However from some informal source of communications with our graduates, it is encouraging to see a significant percentage of graduates received new responsibilities and promotion during their time in or after graduating from the program. By gaining skills and perspectives that make participants better leaders and managers, the experience results in many positive outcomes.
All students have graduates access the career advisory service provided by CEG, the program operator in Hong Kong. CEG works with some headhunting firms which provide a variety of critical skills. They also work with top firms such as Oracles and First Derivatives, providing a listing of openings for graduates seeking new professional opportunities.

You will receive the certificate upon completing all required modules. The graduation ceremony is typically held during the last class session of the 5th module of each cycle.
